Josie joined our herd in February 2020. She is a petite little Fell that is just about 13.1hh. She is a very friendly and willing pony. She's had 5 months of professional saddle training in 2020, and is able to have a comfortable walk, trot and canter each way. She is very light in her movement, and sensitive to her aids. She is truly a joy to ride, as she really wants to work with her handler. September 2020, she started her driving training, and completed her 90+ days to happily pull a cart. She's an adorable Fell that is really enjoying her training, and we love watching her progress and develop into a wonderful ride/drive pony. She was bred to Murthwaite Boy Blue II in 2021 and had a beautiful black filly in 2022. Her primary role at our farm is being a broodmare, and it just wasn't her thing. She is currently looking for a new home. She does have some summer allergies that are currently being managed with allergy shots. This will need to be a monthly maintanance thing. She also has a cataract in her left eye that she has acclimated to very well and still acts without any ill effect. It is thought to be caused by trauma, as when she was a foal she spliced her ear and must have hit her eye. She went back into full time driving training as of 10/1/22. January 2023 she came back to our farm where we will be working on her riding. She will be getting ridden or lunged no less than 3 days a week. She is priced at $14,500. Josie is a wonderful outgoing sassy little mare that likes to be boss in her herd. She is super affectionate to both people and her herdmates. She has a great personality with sass, but is suprisingly quite calm and thoughtful under saddle. We will further her training on trails over the summer as well as further her arena work. She is able to leg yield in the trot and a little in the canter. Spiral in and spiral out. Turn on the haunches. Take the correct lead in her canter. She's doing great!!
